TOURING WITH A PURPOSE 2022

Ada is a small town located in Greater Accra Region. However, they lack a lot of social amenities. The Pervita team visited the community and gave their school a new look. We also donated some educative items to the children in the community. By way of engaging the children, we organized a creative art session for the children. We also engaged the young girls in an educative session on sexual reproductive health.
GLBEDI HOSPITAL – TOURING WITH A PURPOSE 2021
The Gbledi Hospital is located in the Volta Region. It serves the community folks and students who come to school at Gbledi. The Pervita team decided to visit the hospital under the program TOURING WITH A PURPOSE. Touring With a purpose is an event under Pervita Foundation that seeks to visit beautiful sites in Ghana but leave a mark in the lives of the community that we will visit. Prior to our visit to Gbledi hospital, our colleague Josephine Neequaye paid them a visit and outlined their needs. The hospital needed a facelift as the building was in a bad condition. They also needed equipment such as BP apparatus, Mattresses, Drip Stand, Detergents, pillows, bedsheets, pillow covers, etc. With the help of Petro Services Africa, we were able to get all times that were listed by the doctors and nurses of the hospital. Upon arrival, the team painted the hospital and gave it a new look. This made the patients very happy as well as the community folks. The team spent two days at the clinic so that we could experience the life of the doctors and the nurses, especially during the night. Unfortunately, in the night, there was an emergency which the team witnessed. A student was rushed to the hospital on foot. She could not breathe well and was restless. That was when we identified another need. In this era of Covid-19 and its management, the hospital lacked oxygen and cylinders to manage situations when cases turn to the worse. That was when our team members took it upon themselves to buy some cylinders and oxygen for the hospital. This is the life we have chosen to live; this is the passion that drives the team. To see others happy and healthy. To see children having good conditions to live a better life.
Charity for kids affected by fire outbreaks and located in burn unit
Eventhough these kids at the burns unit are spending Christmas at the hospital, we tried our best to put smiles on their faces….. Each kid had a bag full of stuffs. Lego to play with, puzzles to fix whiles on the bed, some colouring books to kill boredom and some biscuits to munch… Each child also had a Christmas wreath hanged on their beds, just to create a different atmosphere and bring some joy to their hearts. #passiondriven
TOURING WITH A PURPOSE 2019 REPORT
Over the years we have had great recommendation of all our trips. Feedback given to us are that, the children are always ready and prepared to go school because of the attraction of the school unit, children are now able to study a little longer into the night because of the lamps we gave out and food have been sufficient over a period after ur visit. For the team that join us on our charity trips, their greatest joy has always been the fulfilment of hearts and the joy of seeing others smile. TWAP gives the youth the opportunity to move out of their comfort zone and lend a helping hand. EXPOSURE AND ADVENTURE: Because Touring with a Purpose deals with the youth, there is always an adventurous aspect of our trip which serves as a source of socilaizing and networking. GABI KPO PROJECT: The Gabi Kpo project is our initial building project our team has handled. The island which is located at Kpando has a population size of about 100 with half of them being under 10 years old. They lack basic social amenities such as school, hospital, portable drinking water etc We decided to go and pay them a visit and to see how best we can help them with special attention given to their school building. Below are some images. The beautiful part of this project is that the team gets to explore and experience life outside the city. Below are some interesting moments for the team(volunteers) who went with us to the Island. Below are some images.. In conclusion, we have made impact in the lives of children on the island and we will be going over next year to evaluate how they are using the building. We are grateful to all our sponsors who have helped in making this a success. We hope to do more in subsequent years. Thank you.
